Breastfeeding while dating

First, my dd accidently knocked over an entire display of coffee mugs. Thankfully, it was the stores fault, they had put the case halfway on the carpet and half on their floor, so it was sitting on that ridge.

Everyone was just thankful it hadn't landed on her. Anyways, she was of course upset and starting to cry. So, naturally i whipped it out and started nursing her.

My date was totally impressed, I think, but then he started making stupid comments like, 'Can I have some in my coffee? Okay, sorry about that. I guess I never bring it up. It's just natural to me. One time I was nursing my dd 14 mos while talking to him.

All of a sudden he burst out with 'Are you feeding her right now? And that was the end of that conversation.

Also, stay away from idiots who say things like 'can I try some? And if he is disrespectful of something like that, then he will be disrespectful of a lot more, kwim? I actually entertained the thought for a moment or two, then the baby woke up. I ended up walking the dog and baby to the store for milk. Man, am I addicted or what?

I almost did tell him he had no right to tell me what to do with my kids. But I want to approach the situation a little easier. I know he doesn't understand why we do it or why I can't just quit. Thats what Im hoping to explain to him. I think you guys haven't been dating long enough for him to ask something so big of you, and if you had been dating long enough he'd respect you enough NOT to ask something that big. JUST don't put everything you have into it. Yea, I may have to postpone dating until I find someone mature enough.

The problem with people around here is even if they have kids, they didnt raise them the way I've chosen to raise mine. My bf says he wants to be a family and be a father to the kids, and that may be possible with the new baby but my daughters almost 2 and even though she's only seen her real father once in the past 3 months, she still knows who he is. Idk, he's just trying to be too serious too soon and kind of walk in and take over.

But I guess thats better than him just dating me and not expecting it to go anywhere It's a hard decision. I did tell him that I've been her mom for almost 2 years and Im not trying to be mean but until he starts putting her to sleep at night and taking care of her all day then he's not really in the position to tell me how to. He said not to expect him to treat her like his own then.
